Cotton Bowl 2008

Dallas, TX

January 1, 2008

Arkansa 7 -- Mizzou 38

It was very cold that moring. We were prepared though. You can't tell, but we were layered under those jersey's. I was just praying that there wouldn't be any wind. Conor was layered up like the kid from A Chirstmas Story. We wasn't able to walk around very well. Arms straight out, wasn't a pretty picture, but he was warm!

This year we were able to go to the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, TX. It was a great time, anyone who knows Tim understands the excitment he gets from big sports functions just like this. Like a kid in a candy store. Anyone who knows me is wondering how on Earth I became and Arkansas Razorbacks fan. Very simple explination. I watched a game LSU-Arkansas, the Razorbacks beat them. The Hogs were the underdogs, o-ya and our really good friends are from Arkansas. So that is that. So here is the gang, me and Conor, then Sandi, then Matt, then Roy, then his brother Micheal. As you can see we were pretty high up there. Good view of the field.
Conor and I stayed pretty warm. I was more nervous about Conor wiggling out of my arms and falling to his death. I had like a death grip on the boy. I wasn't going to let go of him.
A view of the field in the back ground with Tim and Conor. Conor was a little grumpy not being able to run around and crawl around on stuff.
Darren McFadden is from the Razorbacks. People are saying he will go in the first round of the NFL draft. He is like the jack of all trades. He quarterbacks and recieves the ball. (I don't know a lot about football, so if I sound stupid that is why). It was neat to get to watch him.
So Hog fans do this thing, "Calling the Hog". I'm sorry but I cannot discribe how to do it or how it sounds. But when they caming running out onto the field it was acutally pretty neat to hear this call. It seemed there were a lot more Hog fans there than there were Tiger fans.
Sadly, the Mizzou Tigers beat the Razorbacks pretty bad. It seems we couldn't play very well. The awesome thing about it was we got to experience a Bowl game, it wasn't as cold as we thought it would be, and it was a good time.

Wow, that looks like fun. Except I would hate to be the one holding Conor down. That boy loves his space!
