Big League Dreams

This weekend we went to Dallas to the Big League Dreams for a tournament. There was rain in the forecast but we where hopeful. These fields were BEAUTIFUL! I couldn't believe the way they looked. They even had fake people in the stands behind the field. It was awesome.

We were slotted to play on Crosley Field. This is the old Reds stadium. It was fun to see the way the kids eyes light up when they saw the fields. This is Ant warming up.
Here is the dugout. The kid were pretty excited. They said it looked like dugout's from the Rangers stadium. (Notice the wet ground, yep we were playing in the rain.Coach talking to the kids before the games. Notice the nice bleachers in the background. We were sitting in style and comfort.

Anthony out in Center. I had to add the second one so you could see the massiveness of the field. If the boys missed the ball it would keep on going and going.
Anthony on second. The kid is fast! Again notice all the stuff in the background. Makes them feel like they are playing on the real field.
We won this game 12-1. We were scheduled to play again in three hours. When we got back to warm up it was coming down pretty good. About 30min to game time this is what we saw. The field was a lake. Needless to say the rest of the tournament was cancelled. This picture was taken from the club house. It had a view of all the fields. We could sit up there and eat some chicken strips and have an outstanding view of the game. The location was amazing and we were so sad to not be able to play more games.
So we get back to our room and dry up and head out to the Ranger vs. White Sox game. You know I was going to be excited about that. Here are the boys standing in front of the Nolan Ryan statue. Jaren is holding the Ryan give away statue that was given as we walked in the door. He is a dork. As you can see it was still a little rainy. We were sitting in the outfield (we like to sit there so we can catch the home run balls) right next to the bull pen for our Rangers. That was pretty neat to see them down there warming up.
Okay as everyone knows. I LOVE my Diamondbacks. So it would only be natural for me to LOVE Quentin who now plays for the White Sox. This was the three outfielders haning out as the pitcher warmed up. I would have loved to see Hamilton play. To bad he is on the DL. And of course the night ended as we run to the car because the rain is now pouring down.
After our rainy weekend in Dallas we did have a good time. It was fun to see the Big League Dreams, and I really enjoyed the Rangers game. The boys ended up getting second. We were only able to play one game but because of our point differential they came to the conclusion they came in second. We think we would have taken the whole tournament. But what can you do.

Look how awesome your camera is! The pictures are so crisp and clean. I love them! I really like the one of Anthony warming up. Frame it. Claim it.
