Texas born and raised does not describe me at all!! ARIZONA is what I am all about. The past two years around the 4th of July, my heart is a little sad. There are two reasons for this. You can't beat a small town...Show Low....4th of July celebration. So when I realize that Show Low is probably the only place that does that whole thing....my heart is sad. Then I realize that I am missing the best part of the summer. The summer MONSOONS...they are the best. 
Where else in the world can you get images like this. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL, then there is this!
I miss the Saguaro cactus, I miss the nasty lizards and the ugly tarantulas that come out. I miss the loud crashes of lightning, I miss the nasty, dirty Dust Storms. I miss the torrential downpours. The ones that make your commute home 2 1/2 hours instead of just 1. I miss the smell of the desert after it rains. But most of all I miss these.....

The awesome sunsets after the storm clouds have passed. So all of you that are there and cussing the wet, windy, loud weather. Trust me, you will MISS it!!!!

Hey, I am lovin' the monsoon weather! I love a reason to stay inside and curl up on the couch with a good book or movie! We had a HUGE storm last night--I was worried the thunder would wake Haylee up, but she slept right through it all!:)
We have been having some great storms that past days, you are missing out. Hope you are doing great. By the way Brittaney had her 2nd baby girl yesterday. They are both doing great!
I've been missing small town Show Low lately. I was listening to Johnny Cash today while I was running errands and it reminded me of Dad. I feel your pain...except the cactus part. I don't think I'll ever miss the desert.
