Cavern City Chiller...

We headed to Carlsbad, NM for the Cavern City Chiller. Anthony is on a Select baseball team, the Roughnecks, they travel around and play tournaments. This is the first tournament this team has played together and we did pretty dang good. The weather on Saturday was amazing...78 degrees. On Saturday we woke up and it was windy and cold...54 degrees. By the time the games were
played on Sunday it was bearable because the sun came out.
Our first game was against the Benchwarmers, we beat them 0-6. Then we played the Black Sox, they beat us....I can't remember the score. That slotted us to play Sunday at 10am. We were to play the Black Sox again. We lose we go home. Sunday, the boys played their hearts out...their bats were on fire. We beat the Black Sox 6-5. That sent us to the Championship game. We played the Thunder. They beat us, we get second. A pretty good accomplishment for a brand new team. They made a statement! I'm so happy Anthony loves to play baseball, I'm even happier that he is good at it. It was a good time. Looking forward to the next one. Tim took these pictures with our camcorder? We were trying it out to see how the pictures would come out. I will for sure be using my camera in the future. Anthony loves to be number 3, this time on this team he is number 9. It was a little confusing to me too. He was so excited that they got to lead of in this league. He is a fast little runner so he liked that extra lead off to steal the bases. Standing in line at home base to get their second place "trophy's". On the back it said "Cavern City Chiller 2009".
