I'm sure everyone knows that being in Texas means that we know football is HUGE here. But that concept really didn't hit home until Jaren started playing, these people mean business. This weekend was the GMFL (Greater Midland Football League) Super Bowl. Jaren's team, the freshman Colts, have gone undefeated this season. We find that pretty neat, J always talks about how his team only had 15 points scored on them all season. So this Sunday at 2pm the freshman Colts took on the Patriots.

This is Grande Communication Stadium, this is where Lee High and Midland High play their football games. The kids on Jaren's team all talk about how cool it is to be able to play on the High School field. On the way into the game, Tim is so proud of his boys! This is the sign we made for J.This is just the team warming up, but I wanted to get a picture of the seats in the background to give you an idea of how big this stadium is. These are just the homeside seats!!I was just excited that the scoreboard said Colts. Super excited!!Before the game started the kids were lined up at each end under the field goal, a big white limo with Cowboy flags drove down into the stadium, the two guys above got out and walked to center field. They were introduced as Kevin Williams and Kevin Smith, both former Cowboy all stars. They stood and center field as the boys names were called from each team and they gave the boys five as they ran by. Then they participated in the coin toss. I will admit I have no idea who they are....I have NEVER been a Cowboys fan. At the beginning of each game the boys run out from this sign. The cheerleaders cheer and they get to make their grand entrance. It is pretty fun stuff!

The game was played and the Colts came out on top, 24-14. They have completed their undefeated season 7-0.

The after game good jobs were done, a little sidelines chatting, congratulating, and the party begins!Jaren showing off his trophy, and a little posing with the brothers. Conor seems to really like Jaren's trophy too!True tailgating in the parking lot afterwards. There was so much food, lots of good cookies and snacks. You know those kids were hungry after the game too!Everybody getting in on the party action.

I'm so happy Jaren had fun playing this season. There was a question at the beginning of if he wanted to play, he stuck with it and I'm positive he is glad he did. To be on a undefeated team is pretty neat and makes it all that much extra fun.
